AbbyLou Soap Co. uses the old-fashioned cold process method of soap-making. All soap is hand poured with much care, making each bar unique, and with ingredients made from natures oils, butters, and milks. AbbyLou soaps are carefully scented with pure essential oils, but at times or at request will offer soaps with clean and carefully sourced fragrance oils, which will be clearly labeled with each soap ingredient list.

Soap making is an incredible art. First, Sodium Hydroxide is used to transform the oils and butters by a chemistry process called saponification. After the 24-48 hour immediate saponification process, your soap is carefully cut and allowed to rest for the curing phase. During this phase, the excess moisture in your soap will evaporate. Although the soap will shrink somewhat, it also allows the bars to become harder because the fatty acids used to make the soap become crystalized. This 4-6 week also enables the bars to last longer. Once fully cured, the bars are banded with their label and ready for you to enjoy.

The above soap was a very special new life celebration. Her parents wanted everybody to know, "We're Over the Moon", so I customized her soap favors with soap moons imbedded in their soap choice. I didn't stop there. I dressed the soaps with cigar-cover wraps with her theme logo of the moon on their invitation. Grandma Gigi also decided she wanted to gift a dozen hand-made bath bombs. So, AbbyLou's Rose Geranium and Eucalyptus Bath Bombs were created using the theme logo.
